Direct Type LED Backlight

The direct-type backlight has a simple process and does not require a light guide plate. The LED array is placed at the bottom of the light box. The light emitted from the LED is reflected from the bottom and side surfaces, and then evenly emitted through the diffuser plate and optical module on the surface. The thickness of the direct type backlight is determined by the distance between the bottom of the light box and the diffuser plate. Generally, the thicker the thickness, the better the light uniformity of the backlight. In the case of thin backlights, color and brightness uniformity become the technical key to direct-lit backlights. The light field distribution type of the LED lamp plays an important role in the color and brightness uniformity of the backlight source. The LED lamps used in the backlight source usually have two types: Lambertian type and edge-emitting type. Light uniformity, most of the direct-lit backlights use edge-emitting LEDs. However, due to the low light intensity in the middle of the large-angle edge-emitting LED, it is easy to cause dark spots, which affects the uniformity of the backlight source.
